WEST MAIN STREET TOUR

Begins and ends at the historic Oller House, 138 West Main.

We will explore the history of Waynesboro as well as specific West Main buildings and occupants. We will examine spelunking beneath the streets of Waynesboro, the destructive stable fire of 1892, as well as German folklore, local legends, and numerous local haunts that remain with us on the West end of town.

EAST MAIN STREET TOUR

Begins and ends at Antietam Humane Society Store, 230 East Main

We will explore our earliest history of Waynesboro, and discuss Indian attacks, toll roads, stories of South Mountain and Jack’s Mountain, 15 days of rebel occupation, sprawling industry, old fashioned trolleys, and as always, the haunts that remain with us on the East end of town
